Services for the Elderly on Lockdown in Senior Housing

My elderly parents are on lock down in their senior housing complex. Recently, my mother had to leave the campus in order to ship some legal documents overnight. The good news (sort of) is that she did find a travelling notary who came to the campus to notarize the documents. She is now counting down the days to see if she will fall ill from possible exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

My mother is fortunate in that she is fairly savvy with technology and is able do her bill paying and banking online. However, my father's abilities have been compromised due to a stroke. Without my mother, he would not be able to handle the many paperwork and financial tasks we take for granted.

While I am glad that my parents' senior housing takes their health and safety seriously, I hope that these organizations can find a way to partner with banks, overnight shipping companies, and other types of entities that we work with/pay to keep our (financial) lives running smoothly to help seniors access these services without having to expose themselves to the virus, and in a way that accommodates the less technology-adept amongst them at a reasonable cost.
